Yes

Did the derecho affect your employment in any way? Please describe.

was not able to get to work - no gas and work was down due to no electricity

How was your mental/emotional health affected by the derecho?
Snapped into survival mode. I have 5 kids and we had a mom and 3 more kids living with us. 13 days with no power was very challenging. The kids were all home when the storm hit. 7 months later and we still have residual fear to deal with. a 30 minute drive home took me 4 hours - the last 30 minutes of my drive my gaslight was on and my phone was dead for the last 3 hours. It was incredibly scary having no way of knowing where I was going and if I was actually going to be able to make it home.

What resources were helpful (in any way) after the derecho?
friends who had power helped with laundry. Community and church helped with food and tree removal. One family member was able to travel north to get their and our home a generator.
